Corrections and removal
How to report an error, who answers, what gets corrected, what stands, and how to ask for a page to be withheld from search engines.
Report an error
Write to hello@struckwire.com. Quote the source record id — the fourteen-digit TTB COLA number — and, for a specific row, its permalink. Every row carries both in its basis block, and every event has a stable address under /e/. Say what you believe is wrong and, if you can, what the register shows instead.
Who answers
The operator of this site reads that mailbox. There is no form, no account and no ticketing system: this site holds its database read-only and accepts no submissions, so a correction is a conversation first and a change second.
What gets corrected
Our observations. Every row here is a claim about what the public TTB registry showed at a stated time. If we misread it, mis-dated it, or computed an absence from an incomplete check, the row is marked corrected or withdrawn. A corrected row keeps that word visible on the row; a withdrawn event leaves the lists but keeps answering at its permalink with the state that says why. A row under active dispute renders the word CONTESTED until it is settled.
What stands
The register’s own statements. If TTB lists a certificate as surrendered, expired or revoked, this site reports that TTB lists it so, with the date we read it. The place to change the register is TTB, and every row links to the official record for exactly that reason. A surrendered or revoked certificate is not a finding of wrongdoing, and no page here says otherwise.
Search engines
To ask that a specific certificate or permit page be withheld from search engines, write to the mailbox above with the page’s address. Pages about a permit are keyed on the permit number and carry no permit holder’s name.
